Hodsock Priory is one of those wedding venues that makes it very easy to see why couples choose it for their wedding day. Set amongst beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, the historic priory, gardens and surrounding grounds provide an incredible backdrop, while the relaxed atmosphere makes it a brilliant place to celebrate with family and friends.
As a Yorkshire wedding videographer, Hodsock Priory is always a venue I'm happy to return to. Although it's just over the border in Nottinghamshire, it's within easy reach of Yorkshire and has a really special feel that works perfectly with the natural, documentary style of wedding films we create.

Filming Weddings at Hodsock Priory
From the moment you arrive at Hodsock Priory, there's plenty to capture.
The historic Tudor gatehouse provides an impressive entrance to the venue and makes a fantastic first backdrop for the day. From there, the grounds and gardens give you plenty of opportunities for natural moments throughout the celebrations.
One of the things I particularly enjoy about filming at Hodsock Priory is how much of the day can naturally take place outdoors. Whether it's guests enjoying drinks after the ceremony, children running around the gardens or everyone catching up in the sunshine, these relaxed moments are exactly what documentary wedding videography is all about.
The gardens and surrounding grounds also give us plenty of options for capturing the two of you together without turning your wedding day into a photoshoot. A short walk together can be enough to get some beautiful footage while giving you a few minutes to take everything in.
And then there's the venue itself. The historic architecture gives the film a completely different feel as the day moves towards the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.
We've had the pleasure of filming weddings at Hodsock Priory, and every wedding brings something different.
That's one of the things I love about filming here. The venue provides an incredible setting, but it's the people, the atmosphere and everything that happens throughout the day that makes each film completely unique.
