The Yorkshire Wedding Barn is one of those venues that gives you a huge amount to work with as a wedding videographer. Set amongst the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, with beautiful countryside views, a lake and plenty of space for your guests to relax and enjoy the day, it has a wonderfully relaxed feel while still feeling really special.
As a Yorkshire wedding videographer, I love venues where the surroundings and atmosphere do a lot of the work for you, and Yorkshire Wedding Barn is exactly that. From the excitement of getting ready in the on-site accommodation through to the celebrations in the Lake Barn, there are plenty of opportunities to capture your wedding naturally as it unfolds.

Why We Love Filming Weddings at The Yorkshire Wedding Barn
The on-site accommodation makes the morning preparations particularly enjoyable to film. With everyone staying together, there is plenty of time for the excitement to build naturally before the ceremony, whether that's getting ready with your bridal party, sharing a few drinks or simply enjoying those final moments before the day properly begins.
The Lake Barn itself is a fantastic space for filming. The large front windows fill the room with natural light, creating a beautiful setting for the ceremony and giving plenty of atmosphere to the footage.
One of my favourite features is the staircase leading down from the bridal suite. It creates a great opportunity for capturing your entrance and all those reactions from your guests as you make your way into the ceremony.
And, of course, the day doesn't stop once the ceremony is over. The spacious patios and views across the surrounding countryside provide plenty of opportunities to capture relaxed moments with your guests, while the lake and surrounding grounds give you a beautiful backdrop if you fancy taking a few minutes together away from the celebrations.
As the evening gets going, the atmosphere completely changes. The oversized disco ball in the Lake Barn makes for a brilliant party setting, with the lights going down, the music turned up and everyone finally letting loose on the dance floor.
Whether you're planning a relaxed summer wedding with drinks on the patio and views across the countryside, or a winter celebration with everyone gathered inside the Lake Barn, Yorkshire Wedding Barn provides an incredible setting for your day.
And because so much of the venue works naturally for documentary-style filming, there's no need to spend your wedding day worrying about getting everything "on camera". I'll be there to quietly capture the moments as they happen, from the morning preparations right through to the last dance.
