A Stunning Ceremony in The Oakwood’s Ceremony Barn
The ceremony itself took place inside The Oakwood’s stunning ceremony barn — one of the standout features of this Yorkshire wedding venue. The barn’s high wooden beams, warm natural light, and elegant rustic styling create such a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies.
Eleanor & Will chose to keep things personal and relaxed, including a couple of short readings before officially becoming husband and wife. You could really feel the excitement building throughout the ceremony, and their huge smiles during the aisle exit said everything about how happy they were in that moment.
As they stepped outside, guests lined the courtyard ready with confetti, creating one of the most joyful moments of the entire day. The courtyard at The Oakwood at Ryther is such a brilliant space for drinks receptions and celebrations, especially on a sunny spring afternoon.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside for canapés, drinks, hugs, and congratulations while enjoying the gorgeous weather. One thing we absolutely loved was the bridal party champagne spray — chaotic in the best possible way and always incredible fun to capture on film.
The Loudest Reception Entrance
One of the moments from the evening had to be Eleanor & Will’s reception entrance. Every single guest had a tambourine waiting for them, and the noise when the couple made their entrance down the stairs was unbelievable.
The atmosphere instantly shifted into full celebration mode and set the tone for the rest of the night perfectly. It’s moments like these that make wedding films feel so personal, every couple brings something unique to their day, and this was definitely one guests won’t forget anytime soon.
Golden Hour Magic at The Oakwood at Ryther
We were incredibly lucky to get a stunning golden hour just before sunset. As any experienced Wedding Videographer in Yorkshire will tell you, Yorkshire weather can sometimes be unpredictable, so getting that soft evening sunlight felt like the perfect ending to an already amazing day.
We slipped away with Eleanor & Will for a few relaxed portraits around the grounds while the light turned golden across the countryside.

After heading back inside, Eleanor & Will shared their first dance surrounded by all their family and friends before the dance floor quickly filled for the rest of the evening celebrations.
