As a Wedding Videographer in Yorkshire, I'm lucky enough to film weddings at some incredible venues, and Kirkby Fleetham Hall is definitely one of those.

In the North Yorkshire countryside, this country house offers everything from beautiful gardens and elegant interiors and an on-site church, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed, all-in-one wedding day.

The day began with a relaxed, fun atmosphere as Rosie got ready with her bridesmaids. There was plenty of laughter and excitement throughout the morning, creating exactly the kind of natural moments I love to capture as a documentary wedding videographer.

Before leaving for the church, Rosie shared an emotional first look with both her Dad and Brother. These quiet family moments often become some of the most treasured parts of a wedding film, and this was no exception.

One of the unique features of Kirkby Fleetham Hall is its beautiful on-site church. Having the ceremony just a short walk from the reception means the entire day flows effortlessly, with no travelling required for guests.

As everyone gathered outside beforehand, drinks were served on the lawn, creating a lovely, sociable atmosphere before the ceremony even began. Guests enjoyed catching up in the sunshine while the excitement built for Rosie's arrival.

The ceremony itself was full of emotion before Rosie & Lewis made their way back outside for a fantastic confetti exit, surrounded by cheering friends and family.

Celebrations in the Walled Gardens

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the stunning walled gardens, one of the standout features of Kirkby Fleetham Hall. Just when everyone thought the celebrations couldn't get any better, Rosie & Lewis made their entrance led by a surprise brass band.

The atmosphere instantly changed as the band played through the gardens with guests dancing. Everyone was simply enjoying themselves, and those authentic reactions always make for the best memories.

Rather than stopping after the gardens, the brass band continued to lead everyone into the wedding breakfast, creating an unforgettable entrance into the reception.

The celebrations then continued with a series of personal speeches that had the room switching effortlessly between laughter and a few emotional tears. These are always some of my favourite parts of the day to film, as they tell so much of the couple's story through the people who know them best.

As the evening sunshine settled over Kirkby Fleetham Hall, everyone made the most of the beautiful grounds.

Rosie & Lewis chose to cut their cake outside, surrounded by family and friends, before everyone relaxed in the gardens with drinks and conversations as the sun began to set. The estate offers so many beautiful outdoor spaces that couples can really enjoy the surroundings long after the formalities are over.

Eventually it was time to head back inside, where Rosie & Lewis shared their first dance before the dance floor quickly filled and the celebrations carried on well into the night.
