As Yorkshire wedding videographers, we at A & A Video have the privilege of capturing love stories in some of the most breathtaking venues across the region. Megan and Tom’s wedding at the magnificent Howsham Hall was one such occasion—a day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories that we were honoured to capture on film.

Preparing for the Big Day in Howsham Hall’s Spacious Bridal Suite

Our day with Megan began in the luxurious bridal suite at Howsham Hall. The suite, known for its spacious layout and abundant natural light, was a dream for capturing those serene and emotional pre-wedding moments. The soft light streaming through the large windows created a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for the bridal preparations. Megan, surrounded by her closest friends and family, looked radiant as she got ready for her big day.

Groomsmen’s Pre-Ceremony Fun: A Game of Pool

Not far from the bridal suite, Tom and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning with a game of pool. This pre-wedding ritual was full of laughter, providing a perfect opportunity for capturing candid moments of friendship and fun. For us, these shots added a personal touch to the wedding film, showcasing the groom and his friends as they shared a few laughs before heading to the ceremony. This lighthearted start set a relaxed tone for the day, allowing everyone to truly enjoy the celebration ahead.

A Bright and Beautiful Ceremony Room with Live Violinist

Howsham Hall’s ceremony room is as bright as it is beautiful, creating a perfect backdrop for Megan and Tom’s vows. The natural light in the room combined with its elegant decor made the ceremony feel both grand and intimate—a balance that can be challenging to capture but is so rewarding. Adding to the magical ambiance was the soft, melodious sound of a live violinist, who played while guests took their seats and as Megan walked down the aisle. For a Yorkshire wedding videographer, it was a dream setting to capture the exchange of vows.

Afternoon Reception with Close-Up Magician

After the ceremony, guests moved outdoors for an afternoon drinks reception. Adding a unique touch to the day, Megan and Tom had arranged for a close-up magician to entertain their guests. The magician’s tricks and interactive performances created endless moments of amazement and laughter, which were a delight to film. Our approach to capturing these moments was candid and unobtrusive, allowing guests to be fully present while we recorded their genuine reactions and interactions.

Surprise Singing Waiters After the Wedding Breakfast

As the wedding breakfast concluded, guests were surprised by an extraordinary performance from singing waiters. The energy in the room grew, and guests were soon clapping, singing along, and joining in the fun. This unexpected entertainment added a vibrant, lively chapter to the wedding story and kept spirits high. Capturing the reactions of friends and family as they were surprised by the waiters’ performance was one of the highlights of our day. For wedding videographers, these are golden moments—spontaneous, joyous, and full of character.

A Golden Hour Portrait Session in Stunning Evening Light

As the evening set in, we took Megan and Tom outside to take advantage of the golden hour. Howsham Hall’s scenic grounds provided a beautiful backdrop as the sun cast a warm glow over the landscape. Golden hour is one of the most cherished times for photographers and videographers alike, and it was a pleasure to capture Megan and Tom in this soft, romantic light. The couple’s love shone as brightly as the evening light, creating stunning footage that would become timeless keepsakes. This portrait session was a perfect ending to a perfect day at Howsham Hall.
